I am a therapeutic Yoga teacher certified in the tradition of Sri T. Krishnamacharya and Sri Desikachar by the Healing Yoga Foundation. Through two decades of practice, study and mentoring I continues to learn and live the experiential philosophy of yoga from Pātañjali’s yoga sutras. My observational skills and understanding of modifying and appropriately sequencing postures and breathing lend itself to the therapeutic application of Yoga for students with various needs. I have studied Vedic Chanting at the Vedic Chant Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. After
completing training modeled after the Commonweal Cancer Help Program, I taught group classes for cancer patients and caregivers at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. I teach continuing education workshops for yoga teachers working with cancer patients, caregivers, creating restorative yoga practices and Vedic chanting.

Trained and mentored as an Ontological life coach, I use my curiosity, observational skills and intuition to help students create their own shifts of awareness and discover their own path. The combination of yoga and ontological exploration provides a unique experience that is relevant, holistic, therapeutic and student centered.

Having worked as a Kindergarten Classroom Teacher with a Masters of Education, I approach life as an avid student, who learns and grows along with those I have the opportunity to serve. Through my personal ongoing journey of yoga study, sharing life with rescue animals, creating home gardens, playing music and being in a long-term, dedicated relationship, I have cultivated the belief that meaningful work, loving relationships, play, exploration, reflection, rest and simplicity are the key components to the satisfying life I continue to nurture and create.
